We offer affordable CHL Training in East Texas!

State Law mandates that new CHL classes be no less than 10 hours and renewal classes are no less than 4 hours.   Satisfactory completion of one of these classes is necessary before you can apply for or renew your Concealed Handgun License.

Class Schedule: Concealed Handgun License Classes are scheduled for Marshall and surrounding areas twice each month. Fridays from 6pm to 10pm (supper is provided Friday evening) and Saturdays from 8am til close. Class size is limited to 25 adults in order to maximize range safety. Provided in Class: Training materials and multimedia presentations Applications are furnished Assistance with all required paperwork 2 Passport ID photographs (new applicants only) Costs: CHL Class Fee: $65 for new applicants / $40 for renewals Texas DPS License Fee: $140 new applicants Seniors (over 60 years of age) $70 Military $50 CHL Training Subjects: Introduction to the course Concealed Handgun License requirements and restrictions Range safety, basic marksmanship, handgun use, and evaluation Handgun proficiency Weapon storage, safety practice, child safety and proper handgun cleaning Non-violent dispute resolution Advanced training beyond DPS requirements Final Exam and Certification Location: Classes held at 4433 Cooks Rd.in Marshall, TX. Range qualification held at 4433 Cooks Rd.,  Marshall, TX View Larger Map Instructor: Bob Green is a retired Peace Officer with over 40 years experience in weapon use.  His membership in the Texas Concealed Handgun Instructors Association provides him with the most up to date information for his classes. With his law enforcement background he has the knowledge to give excellent counsel to all of his students and has done so since 1996.  Bob is also a Lifetime NRA member and firearms instructor.
